Dedicated students who have studied at least two years or more of dance in ballet, tap, jazz and acrobatics may audition or be invited to perform with our Jr. or Sr Dance companies - The Uptown Dancers.
Students perform at various showcases, competitions and community events Student not only gain valuable skills available in the classroom but learn showmanship,sportsmanship and get to make friends with others of the dance community. Our students have traveled to Las Vegas, Orlando, Atlantic City and New Hampshire to perform and compete.

Uptown Dancers
Click hAuditions for Youth ages 9 - 21

Dancers should have some experience in at least one of the folllowing:
Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Acrobatics or Gymnastics, possess good showmanship and sportsmanship.
Dancers should be able to:
1) Commit to two hours per week for rehearsals.
2) Take at least 2 dance classes per week.
3) Purchase costumes for performances

Auditions will consist of learning choreography, freestyle or interpretive dance and writing a short essay of why you want to participate. Bring jazz shoes, sneakers, and tap shoes if you have them and wear comfortable dance wear.
Some Scholarships Available.
